Agreeably Horrible Histories-ish, it’s a quick canter through language from the Romans to the internet. Purists take note: we’re brilliant at inventing new words, absorbing others, and downright stealing them from everyone else – that’s what makes it English.

Brilliant fun!
Yes. I’m a sucker for this sort of thing.Do you get Horrible Histories in Victoria? Songs, skits, and lots of poo for children of all ages, plus you learn something at the same time. This post has all songs from Series 3: https://beautifulrailwaybridgeofthesilverytay.wordpress.com/2011/08/30/horrible-histories-songs-from-series-3/.
I never heard of Horrible Histories until I went to a Dillon’s in London (we don’t have them in the US). I was so enthralled that I bought the whole series. This video is fantastic.
Take a look at the songs from Series 3 I linked to in the reply to yeltnuh. I love them.
