It’s quite conservative in its way, harkening back to a bucolic past. And Crumb’s earlier work was much more radical, eagerly embracing the future. On the other hand, I’d prefer to see fields and woods than multi-lane highways. Cities, though, can be brilliant if we make them for people rather than machines.
